WHO WE ARE

Westlake Academy Foundation serves as the fundraising arm for Westlake Academy.  Quite simply, whatever the school needs we work to raise the necessary funds for operations, curriculum, teacher training, equipment, technology, etc. 

As we look to the next five years, the Foundation Board will focus on building endowment funds to $5M and strengthening corporate partnerships to support the Foundation's mission and the educational goals of the Academy. With the support and involvement of current and future donors, including members of a newly established alumni association, the Foundation will continue the tradition of providing funds to ensure that Westlake Academy remains an institution of academic rigor and excellence. 

OUR MISSION

“To provide financial support for Westlake Academy in its efforts to provide students with an internationally-minded education of the highest quality, so they are well-balanced and respectful life-long learners.” 

The Academy relies on Foundation funding for approximately 20% of its annual operating budget. Our initiatives raise $1.5 million annually for school operations, academic programs, teacher training, equipment, technology, and the endowment. Westlake Academy would look very different without charitable contributions!

Blacksmith Annual Fund

• Parent-focused campaign to raise critical operating funds for current school-year budget 
• Respectfully request $2,500/student or family’s best per-student gift 
• Campaign seeks credit card gifts on Giving Day as well as gifts/pledges during one-month 
  active period (donations accepted year-round!). Payment plans via monthly credit card or auto-bank 
  draft available. 
• Employer matching gifts greatly appreciated – does your company match charitable donations?? 
• Volunteer opportunity as Grade Captain!

 

WA Gala

• Benefit auction, dinner and dancing!
• Fun night of gourmet food and cocktails, live entertainment, and amazing auction items, including 
  incredible student art created with professional Artists-in-Residence 
• Proceeds used for teacher grants and special school initiatives 
• Sponsorship, donation, and volunteer opportunities!

Established in 2003, the Foundation is an independent, 501(c)3 non-profit organization with federal tax ID: 20-0033926. Our Board of Directors is comprised of Academy parents and community members who volunteer their time, talent, resources, leadership and expertise in service to the students and teachers of Westlake Academy.
