At Westlake Academy, technology plays a sizable role in the education of our students, as well as providing information to our parents. Learn more about our educational technologies, and how we use them, below!
The $99 Westlake Academy Technology Use Fee includes costs for maintenance, infrastructure, apps and device coverage for the Property. Each policy covers the Property for accidental damage such as drops and spills as well as loss (theft, fire, flood, natural disasters and lightning strikes). The Fee covers a maximum of two (2) incidents per school year. Subsequent incidents after the 2nd will require full damage repair costs, and possible loss of use. Self-repair of the device, or repair of the device by third parties is not allowed. The policy does not cover power adapters, cables, misplaced (lost) devices, or intentionally damaged/defaced cases or devices. You may choose to waive the $99 Westlake Academy Technology Use Fee. If you waive the fee and the Property is damaged, lost, or stolen, you are responsible for the reasonable cost of repair (determined by the IT Department) or its full replacement cost.
