Andrea “Annie” Ormond joined Westlake Academy as a Second Grade teacher in 2016. She earned her BA in Fine Arts with a minor in Education from the University of Dallas in 1993. She has experience in diverse classroom settings over last 23 years, teaching fine arts, general education and humanities. She strongly believes in the benefits of transdisciplinary education, and Westlake Academy’s dedication to the whole student.
Mrs. Ormond is certified to teach ELA-reading (4-8), General Education (K-6) and Fine arts (K-12). After calling, Michigan, Dallas, and North Carolina “home”, she is happy to have anchored in Trophy Club with her husband, son and daughter, both of whom attend Westlake Academy.
Mrs. Ormond indentifies with the learner profile trait "Inquirer" most and her favorite quote is from Helen Keller: “A well-educated mind will always have more questions than answers.”
