Troy J. Meyer is the Director of Facilities and Recreation for the Town of Westlake. Joining the Westlake team in 2004 he served as the first Facilities Director for the Town. Over the past 14 years, he has volunteered with the Westlake Academy football team and assisted students with personal projects. Some of his major accomplishments include, being project manager for and overseeing the completion of the Sam & Margret Lee Arts and Sciences Center, the WA Field House, the Secondary Building, the Multi-Purpose Building , the Outdoor Learning Stations, and remodeling and relocation of the Town Hall offices. Most recently he was tasked for overseeing Westlake's new Fire-EMS Station No.1 project. He also has played a key role in development of 10 miles of the Westlake trail system. Another unique roll Troy undertakes is managing the Westlake Cemetery since 2007.
Troy received a two-year football scholarship from Blinn Jr. College in Brenham, Texas. After receiving his associates degree from Blinn he went on to get a Bachelor’s Degree from Sam Houston State University in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science and a minor in Business and Health. For 12 years Troy worked in the Corporate Fitness field for I.E. Dupont de Numoirs and Johnson & Johnson. As Account Manager he managed multiple client sites in the Southeast region. He served on various teams for fitness center design and construction for clients such has Motorola, IBM, and Owens Corning.
