Aimee Wells has thoroughly enjoyed her stay in Texas since moving from Massachusetts in 2012. She came to Westlake Academy in 2014 and continues to serve in her role as the Secondary Special Education Teacher. In addition to her teaching experience in Special Education, she comes with experience in Early Childhood Intervention, therapeutic residential adolescent settings, and community living for adults diagnosed with mental illness. Aimee earned her B.A. degree in Social and Rehabilitation Services from Assumption College and her M.Ed. in Special Education from Fitchburg State University. Her certification is in Special Education EC-12 as well as Reading and English Language Arts 4-8. She is invested in embracing the learning differences of students to foster success, and hopes to pursue a doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction in the future.
Mrs. Wells is married to her high school sweetheart Jeremy and has been blessed with six children. Four of the children currently attend Westlake Academy in the PYP and MYP programs. Being a Massachusetts native, she is a dedicated New England sports fan, especially when it comes to the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots. Photography, clothing, and travel are additional interests that she draws upon. Mrs. Wells is thankful for the privilege to be a part of the Westlake Academy faculty.
