Gail James is originally from Kokomo, Indiana but has lived in Texas since 1970. Gail and husband Jeff have lived in the area since 1977. This will be her 14th year at WA where she has taught PYP / MYP / DP Visual Arts and Film Making. Gail taught art four years in Houston, one in Decatur, and four years in Vocational Commercial Art at Keller High School. She owned an art business for 15 years. In addition to teaching, Gail is a costumer / costume designer and has owned her own business for over 22 years. She costumes around 26 different plays a year. Some of her work includes: Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera (the Weber musical), Music Man, The King and I, La Bette, Once Upon a Mattress, Lion King, Jr., and many more. Gail graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in 1970 with a BS degree in Art Education, area major advertising design specialty. Her MS is from East Texas State University now Texas A & M at Commerce, TX in illustration and advertising design. She is also certified in Vocational Education. She has two daughters; Jackie James, a TCU grad in Radio /TV/ Digital Media who is an Executive Producer for Heard City in New York City and Jennifer Morgan, an Assistant Principal at Central High School KISD who with her husband and three chlidren Piper (6) and Xander (4) and Gryffin (1) live with Gail and Jeff. She has one dog, Roxy Heart, a Cocker Spaniel with a heart shaped white patch on her side. All of Gail's hobbies involve a combination of art, vintage clothing, and theatre.
